Warkworth Working Bee February 22nd!

Earthskin Working Bee

We are inviting ex-PDC students and artist residents to come together for a Working Bee at Nancy's place at Earthskin Warkworth. This is a chance to reconnect, get our hands in the soil, and give something back. Nancy has been a long-standing supporter of PDC over many years, and as she prepares to sell her property, this seems like a meaningful way to support her and acknowledge all that she has contributed to the wider PDC community.

We’ll gather from10 am to 2 pm, with a shared lunch in the garden. Please bring a plate to share.

What we’ll be doing

• Shaping the willow house

• Clearing back the swimming pool area

• Removing a few small old trees

• Weeding and tidying gardens

• Pruning any stone fruit trees that have finished fruiting

• Clearing items to be recycled

• Take apart compost bins and put compost on the gardens

• Clearing paths and mulching

• Shifting the pile of clay for earth building

What to bring

• Gloves, secateurs, and named garden tools

• Sunblock and Hat

• A wheelbarrow and a spade if you can?

• Clothing for all conditions (including swimsuit & towel)
