Intro to Natural Building For Professionals Workshop
CHRISTCHURCH November 8th
​
Join a group of Architects Engineers and Builders who are using natural building techniques in consented buildings. From 9.30am to 4.30pm Friday 8th November. An introduction to the theory and practice of various techniques in one day. The morning theory session will be held in Turanga Library TSB space. Including Building science of various methods, performance of the materials, and how to get building consent. Lunch will be provided. In the afternoon we will take you to Otakaro Orchard across the road to see earthbricks in their new building, and you will have an opportunity to explore how various ratios of materials are used to form different building materials, from plasters, rammed earth, earth bricks, and more. You can submit CPD points for 6 hours of learning.
Price includes a basic EBANZ 1 year membership with an online magazine access.

Botanical printing workshop 24th March 2024

We welcome you to the Botanical Printing Workshop - a great way to create Art with a little help of Mother Nature.
​
You can help to gather plant materials and then using acrylic paint turn leaves into magical botanical monoprints, something that is truly unique and can never be copied.
​
Participants learn variety of special techniques and go creative!!
You will relax & nourish the senses, enjoy a bush tea & express your inner vision. It’s a fun experimental workshop where people express their inner creativity and bring some beautiful artwork home.

CREATE YOUR MEDICINE GARDEN

In this workshop you will learn how to intuitively tune into the medicine of your garden and how it can benefit the land and your own body.
There will be an opportunity to learn more about plant language and observation skills that will help you feel more confident around plant medicine, no matter how much or little your experience.
We will also take a look at the design process and how to create a medicine garden tailored for you and your families needs.
Your Tutor:
Kate Fillenham has been a practicing Reflexologist and energetic healer for the last 19 years in the UK, Europe and NZ. Her love of plants began as a small child, which expanded into training in herbal medicine and Permacultural studies. She worked as an environmental education guide in Iceland and NZ for 6 years expanding to her own business "PETAL" for the last 10 years, running her healing clinic and designing permacultural systems that focus on medicine for the land and its inhabitants.

ECOLOGICAL BUILDING WORKSHOPS
Autumn 2022 Series - Waygood Foundation Piha
Join Guenther Andraschko for a series of Ecological Building Workshops and get your hands in the clay!
​
Participants will engage in building a composting toilet with an earth roof using the light earth method, which uses clay and straw to infill a timber frame.
Guenther is an experienced Permaculture designer and educator. He will impart 30 years of earth-building experience as he guides you through a light earth build, giving an understanding of its benefits and process.

HERBAL APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME

This course is an interesting mix of ethnobotany, herbal materia medica, harvesting, plant identifi cation, wild plant nutrition, spiritual properties of wild plants and trees, herbal rituals and ceremony, kinesiology, and development of your own gifts of healing, nz plant essences & creative expression, and intuitive development.
